| ELECTROLYSIS CELLS |

|
Each cell consists of a glass
cylinder, the lower end of which accommodates a tight-fitting
rubber stopper fitted with Z Carbon electrodes. Contact
of each electrode made throught a crocodile clip, accidental
shot circuting of the electrodes is prevented by a strip
of insulating material set into the rubber between the
electrodes by means of a wood strip and rubber bands. |

| HOFFMANN VOLTAMETER |

|
To demonstrate water decomposition
by electrolysis and with applications in the evaluation
of the electro chemical equivalent of hydrogen. For electrolysis
of water, platinum electrodes are used; For electrolysis
of ammonia or hydrochloric acid, Carbon electrodes are
used. The electrodes are mounted in rubber stoppers for
insertion into open ends of voltameter limbs. The glass
unit has two connected limbs capacity 50 ml, Integral
with reservoir tube and funnel shaped bulb, with a stop
clock at the top of each limb. Electrodes available seperately. |
